Trishna Doordarshan Tv Serial: How Kamna Chandra Wrote the Screenplay for the Popular Show

Deepa,First visit. Read all current posts. A time comes when older generation should give way to young one. I am with you on what you say about choice of Hitler. Thanks for insight into some of the famous serials. How about writing more frequently?Take care

I have seen all the versions which you've mentioned. My favourites remain Trishna and the BBC series. I was born in '89, but I was very lucky to catch a rerun of Trishna on DD, when I was probably in my early teens. I still swoon over Tarun Dhanrajgir and Colin Firth. If you've seen Aarohan (Pallavi Joshi was a Navy cadet in this serial), you'll find that, here too, Tarun Dhanrajgir has a very Darcy-esque role.

Trishna Doordarshan Tv Serial

I've seen Trishna, and the BBC version and the Colin Firth version. I prefer the Firth version, because he is magnificent in it, as is the female lead. Trishna was very nice too - it was a pity Dhanrajgir never showed up in any other serials :-)

Prominent among the lot is Gaaner Oparey, helmed by late Rituparno Ghosh as creative director. The serial, which showed a unique romantic tale of two young Tagore lovers having different temperament and view of Tagore music, was telecast from June 2010 till April 2011.

Called Trishna and made in Hindi, the serial kept to the storyline of the original novel. I was completely enamored of Rekha, the Indian Elizabeth Bennet (played by Sangeeta Handa) and even more so by the dishy Tarun Dhanrajgir, who is called Rahul. The essence of Darcy was so well captured by this actor that one can almost imagine that Austen had created her character for this Indian Rahul. 2ff7e9595c
